The 7.1 magnitude earthquake in Yushu, Qinghai Province, had left 2,183 dead by Wednesday (April 21) afternoon with 84 people reported missing and 12,135 injured. The powerful tremor hit remote Yushu county, 500km (310 miles) south-west of provincial capital Xining, at 0749 (2349 GMT), at a shallow depth of 10km.

Earthquake happened, surprise to China, to Chinese people, and to the whole world. For it is a nature disaster, we can’t cnplain any people. When we heard the sad news, we called on our staff to donate voluntarily to the children in the earthquake strike area. In less than one week, we collected 5,300 Yuan and sent it immediately to China Children's Fund. We hope that the little help of us canassist the poor children.
