CNOOC Supervision Company first session of offshore deep drilling course in the U.S. opened at University of Huston on January 4th. The participants in this class are all drilling superintendents, having rich oversea working experiences.

This course will last for 3 months. We have many experienced experts on deep drilling and high pressures and temperatures drilling aspects. This course mainly includes offshore drilling introduction, offshore oil exploration, offshore deep drilling equipments, offshore deep drilling fluid, Deep Cementing Technology, underbalanced/controlled Pressure Drilling, deep drilling’s problems and challenges, deep drilling’s new technologies, deep drilling well control, high pressures and temperatures drilling technologies, deep drilling risk management, and deep drilling project management. During the course, we will also arrange to visit some oil companies and let the participants have chances to communicate with the engineers. This can help them learn advanced technologies and apply it to their work.
