CNOOC Supervision Company first session of offshore deep drilling in the U.S. course was finished on March 30th, 2011, which lasted for 3 months. This course includes offshore system introduction, offshore drilling operations, deepwater drilling techniques, high pressures and temperatures drilling technologies, deep drilling risk management, and deep drilling project management.    

Teachers in this course mainly come from international famous oil companies such as BP, Shell, and they all have more than 30 years' working experience. This course focused on practicability, and a large number of cases, group discussion and report making methods were used in the course. Participants felt that they had learnt a lot of valuable technical knowledge and their English level also improved a lot.

Petromentor Company made good use of the resource advantages which the company has in the local oil industry during the course time, and it also arranged the participants to visit some oil companies such as Global Synergy Corporation,Hub City Industry,Moncla Drilling Service,J. Connor Consulting,PPI Consulting,HTK Consultants International,InterAct,Robishaw Engineering and so on. Through visiting these companies, the participants had chances to communicate with experienced experts. After this visiting, they had a deeper understanding of what they had learnt, and found out more cooperation chances which made a good foundation of the future's technical cooperation.

Petromentor organized various activities in the part time to rich the participants'life in America. Nearly all teachers had invited the participants to come their home in the weekend. Through the communication, the participants could better understand the content of the course. We also invited the local worthies to introduce America's customs, living styles, religion and so on to let the participants get to know American culture more deeply. Because of this, the participants' English level was improved, and they could adapt to American life more quickly. Besides, we organized many outdoor activities to make sure the participants'good health.    

This course was held very successfully, and the customers were quite satisfied with this type of training, and they said that they would take this training more often. The second session of offshore deep drilling in The U.S. Course will be held in June.
