The project management training program for PetroChina Foreign Cooperation Administration Department (CCAD) had been officially held in Houston from November 30 to December 15, 2012. The opening ceremony is brief and warm.

This training lasted for 16 days and it was divided into two parts, one is about general project management and the other is about petroleum exploration and production project management. The trainees for this training program are 21 employees from PetroChina head office. The major training content covered project scope, time, cost, quality, human resource, communication, risk management and procurement management; in the last day of this training, the form of professional seminar was adopted, which could make a better interaction. The petroleum exploration and production project management training mainly covered the knowledge system of project management, the launching, planning, supervising and closing of one specific project.

The instructors are all professionals in Houston. Dr. Maier and Ruiz had a wealth of on-site project management experience and they are all good at participating multi-cultural and multi-rules project design and management. The training program adopted diversified teaching mode including case studies and group discussions, which ensure the active classroom atmosphere and excellent teaching efficiency.
