[Meeting background]
Starting from the Sultan and Venezuela Projects of CNPC, the implementation of Chinese oil industry’ s “Going-Out” policy has been 20 years. After then, the footprint of state-owned enterprises such as Sinopec, CNOOC, CITIC, and Zhenhua has spread over the Latin America and North Africa district; as for the recent period, domestic oil enterprises have had many acquisitions and participations of some western oil enterprises, including Addax, Nexen, Devon, Cheaspeak, etc.
Meanwhile , many subordinate oil-field service companies of the three big domestic oil enterprises have started to go abroad to improve their comprehensive strength through serving their brother companies, and by that they have managed to enter the service market of both well-known international and state-owned oil companies .Since lack of work opportunities at home, numerous private oil-field service companies with a certain scale and international horizon also have set off to exploit the overseas market.
In conclusion, under the background of “Going-Out” and international cooperation at this stage , there are some tasks, for example, to further improve the comprehensive quality of the staff for the sake of meeting the higher requirement of the foreign cooperated partners, and to foster more new type international talents, which brook no delay for domestic oil enterprises.
Therefore, we specially invite academic elites and enterprises senior managers with powerful influence and strategic foresight from the domestic and abroad oil enterprises and institutes, with the purpose of exploring the new type international talent issue in oil industry together. Let’s have a meeting of minds and analyze the context of the issue to propose appropriate strategic choice and advice for the present stage!
