On January 1, 2015, the training about engineering construction management and new technology for CNOOC opened in Queensland University, Australia. There were 16 students from CNOOC and its secondary units attend the training, lasting up to 12days.

The main curriculum content of the project, which petromentor won the bid in the competition ,are consisted of new technology of engineering construction, offshore engineering construction management, new deepwater technology ,and were taught by three experts.

After the Western University and Curtin University, Queensland University is the third partner, which lays the solid foundation of varies business development for Petromentor in Australia.
