Students from foreign cooperation department of CNPC have started their 17days long course of low permeability reservoir producing technology in Houston- the training base of Petromentor in America. There were 24 students in this training program and they all obtained certificate from University of Houston.

The main purpose is to acquire production technology and gain experience, during the training; students have learnt economic evaluation, reserves estimation, drilling and completion techniques and stimulation.

Petromentor has arranged site visit and also O&G companies and oilfield service companies including head office of Halliburton. Furthermore, we have visited South Texas Eagle Ford and have learnt advanced oil and gas recovery technologies.

 
Students have not only gained knowledge of advanced technologies of oil and gas, but also experienced American culture and improved their English. Their enlarged vision is also a good preparation for future development internationally.
