Oct. 14th to 18th 2015, CNPC Xinjiang Oilfield tight gas production technology training course has been launched in Houston-the training base of Petromentor in America. Many students from Xinjiang Oilfield have attended the training course, they have learnt advance production technologies and legislation in the field of tight gas in America.

During the training, units like Character and Appraise Technology of Tight Gas Reservoir, Production and Fracturing of Tight Gas and Stimulation of Tight Gas provided by highly experienced and academic lecturers from Petromentor are covered in the course. Lecturers have forced on topics like tight gas appraise, reserves assessment, drilling and completion, stimulation and site management. Meanwhile, learning materials are also provided by Petromentor, so students can study after the lecture and understand the lecture as soon as possible.

Besides, a visit to Halliburton Research Center was arranged, students have the opportunity to see Unconventional Lab and Duncan Technology Center. Technologies like geochemical test and fracturing test and analysis of shale are introduced to the students. Petromentor also arranged a site visit to South Texas Eagle Ford shale oil and gas field, so students are able to understand much better about what they have learnt in the lectures.
