Houston Training Base

Houston is the fourth biggest city in USA, which lays in the southeast of Texas and on the top area of Plain of the gulf of Mexico. It is 80 km away from the Gulf of Mexico with a altitude of 49 feet. Houston covers an area of 8778.31 square miles and has a population about 4,220,000 (estimated in the end of 1995), while in the down town, there are 2,208,180 people (statistics taken in 2009) with a total coverage of 596.11 square miles. Houston has been the sister city of Shenzhen in Guangdong province of China since April 2nd 1986.

Houston has great oil & gas reserves, as well as for other resources such as barytes, gypsum, magnesium, salt, timber and fresh water. It is the industrial center for petroleum and petrochemical industries in USA. There're 28 out of 100 largest energy companies that have set their head office here, besides, there're more than 5000 companies dealing with energy business here. Till now, Houston produces 3,347,000 barrels per day, which takes up 85.1% of Texas and 21.7% of USA.

Dallas Training Base

Dallas is an industrial city that is second largest in Texas. It lays in the north part of Texas with a total coverage of 8,625,000 square kilometers. The Trinity River has divided the city into two parts, the business district in the north and populated area in the south. Factories scatter along the river bank.

On September 30th 1930, East Texas Oil Field had been found in Joyner, which made Dallas come into administration center for petroleum industry. Crude oil produced by east and west oil fields come together through petroleum pipeline. It had advanced petroleum refining, petrochemical and petroleum machinery industries and there were around 600 oil companies in the city. After the Second World War, due to thrive in ammunition and aeroplane manufacturing, electronic industries etc, Dallas develops rapidly both in urbanization and population.

Training Scheme

Based on Houston and Dallas, two important oil cities, supported by the University of Houston and Texas A&M University, two excellent universities of world famous, Petromentor has made full use of local resources, including industrial bases and academic resources, to provide trainees with opportunity to go USA for inspection and education. Such training scheme includes professional knowledge lecturing, company inspection, on-site operation and cultural inspection etc. Professional knowledge will be offered by local experienced experts and scholars, who can broaden trainees horizon by integrating their own experience into lectures.
